Doryce Wheeler, Soprano

Doryce Wheeler grew up in Goma, DRC where her parents were missionaries, and currently lives in Bridgewater with her husband and two dogs. She attended Bradley University in Peoria, IL, where she double-majored in International Studies and French and 20 years later, received a Master's in Language Education from Rutgers. She sometimes works part time as an adjunct instructor of English as a Second Language at the college level, and part time at Wild Birds Unlimited.

Her musical journey began with the flute in 4th grade, choir in 5th, piano in 6th and she is hoping to add the ukele. She currently serves as pianist and worship leader at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Manville. In her spare time, she plays the piano, reads, golfs or birds. She is thrilled to be a part of Caritas in the company of such fine musicians, and in support of her "hometown." Mungu asifiwe! (Praise God!)
