Sean Plante, Tenor

Sean began singing gospel music in his church children's choir at the age of seven, graduating to leading the Praise and Worship Team and directing the Adult Choir at the age of fifteen. Active in both the band and choral programs throughout high school, Sean was selected to join the New Jersey All-State Chorus multiple times. Sean attended Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, first majoring in flute and then switching to a vocal concentration. During this time, Sean was privileged to tour globally with the Rutgers University Glee Club in Germany and Amsterdam as a featured soloist and participate in several conferences of the American Choral Directors Association. He also sang with the Kirkpatrick Choir, the most advanced choir at Mason Gross, performing at several prestigious venues (including Carnegie Hall) and under the baton of world-famous conductors (such as Valerie Gergiev).

After graduation, Sean led several gospel groups in New York City and the surrounding areas. He has served as the Minister of Music at St. Andrews in Avenel, NJ (along with his co-director Dave Valla) for the past nine years, where he plays the organ, sings and directs the choir.

Sean is also a Sr. Manager in Corporate Finance at Dow Jones. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, playing golf (poorly) and hanging out with friends.
