Stan Jaracz, Tenor

Stanislav (Stan) Jaracz was born to a family of music amateurs and he started his musical endeavours in childhood when he joined the children's choir (director Vaclav Styvar) at seven and began playing recorder at eight. During his college studies in Prague, Czech Republic, Stan sang in the University Choir of Charles University. This rewarding experience was crowned by a North American tour in 1998, which included the Canadian and US West coasts.

That year was groundbreaking as he returned to the US for his graduate study at Columbia University in the Department of Chemistry (PhD degree in Chemistry, 2004). In the spirit of continuous choral singing, Stan joined the Russian Chamber Chorus of NY (RCCNY, directed by Nikolai Kachanov) in 1998, which enriched him in bold Russian Liturgical music as well as music of other genres by Russian, European and American composers. The reportoire included Liturgies by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and Gretchaninoff at various venues in NYC. As a member of RCCNY until 2003, Stan took part in ambitious orchestral concert projects including a few in Carnegie Hall and continued after 2003 as an invited singer. One of the unforgettable experiences was a performance with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Vladimir Ashkenazy in February 2003. Before leaving NYC, Stan also sang with New Amsterdam Singers for one season (2003-2004).

In his daily life, Stan works as a technology innovator at Colgate-Palmolive Company (since 2007). Stan is married to Milena and they enjoy their twin children Martina and Jakub (*2009). Stan embraces technologies that support the sustainability of mankind.
